I'm home

Hi all

I'm home.  Man am I tired.  But I have had the best time at NYWC.  This was my 4th time to go and I had more fun, relaxed more, felt comfortable, laughed so hard I cried at The Skit Guys, worshipped in the way I love to the most, spent time with friends.  Wow.  I also learned about about some changes I need to make with me and new stuff in ministry.  I haven't even had time to process it all.  And the stuff I came home with.  Dang...tons and tons.  I love it.

I'll write more when I've had time to process.

NYWC - Austin 06

Oh yeah, am I having fun now.  David Crowder Band leading worship the last 3 general sessions.  Shane and Shane leading worship tonight.  Building 429 rockin the house.  The Skit Guys making you laugh until you cray.  Awesome, challenging speakers.  Workshops that make me rethink everything I do in youth ministry.  More stuff to buy than I can think of;  FREE stuff everywhere.  2500+ other crazy, mixed up, psycho, completely misunderstood other youth workers that actually really get what Jesus is all about.  From early morning until late at night; more than you could ever do in a month.  Tiime in quiet with Jesus in the Labarynth, worship like only you will find in heaven on earth.  All rolled up into 5 days.  And that is just the beginning.  And all in my own back yard this year. 

So are you jealous yet?  I am and I'm here.

Austin here I come

ok, ok.  So its not the furthest spot for a week with thousands of other youth workers, but it will do for now.  Oh yeah, that the National Youth Workers Convention I'm talkin about.  I can't wait.  I need the break and just to be affirmed in my calling and who I am.

this afternoon and tomorrow morning will be the best part.  It is a time of retreat.  I'm going thru an 8 hr "workshop" but its not a workshop.  It's a time of spiritual renewal and retreat.  A time to focus on me and God.  A time away.  A time of prayer.  A time of worship.  A time of silence and solitude.  It's gonna be awesome.

Then tomorrow I get to party with David Crowder Band in worship.

Oh yeah.
